The instructor made me feel comfortable and confident as a novice gun operator/owner. No question was a dumb question he was very knowledgeable of each topic and scenario that was presented. I appreciate his ability to balance visual, verbal and hands on teaching so everyone feels comfortable in the classroom. It didn’t feel like sitting in a classroom for 4 hours but sitting down talking to a friend who happens to be teaching you during conversation.

I was totally pleased with the interaction of the instructor individually showing us how to handle the weapon properly and I appreciated how the instructor reiterated the importance of safety with any weapon you possess.

Chief Young was very passionate and knowledgeable about the unarmed training curriculum he provided. Chief Young did an outstanding job explaining and breaking down the rules, laws, regulations, procedures, guidelines, and duties for this profession. He did a great job keeping us interested and informed in the training course. With the training tools Chief Young provided, I definitely feel that I can perform the duties safely and to the best of my ability in this profession. I highly recommend Chief Young.

Chief Young broke down everything so I could understand the job I was training for. Any questions I had were answered, and there were plenty of his stories from his experience that explained de-escalation techniques, voice tones, and the correct way to approach a situation. I came out of this classroom not just informed about the job but also about a way of life. Thank you!!!

Major Young, I wish the class was a lot longer. The hands-on experience is a wonderful idea. Great, great people to learn from. From what I saw, I would love to learn a lot more. The allotted 16 hours are not enough.
