Women Basic Pistol
We encourage you to embark on your weapon training journey with the unique Women's Basic Pistol course, led by our team of experienced and certified instructors. This foundational module is designed to equip you with the essential handgun safety skills, including safely unloading a semi-automatic pistol. The seven safe and accurate shooting principles will be explained and demonstrated. You can practice these fundamentals in a classroom and on a shooting range, laying a solid groundwork for your progression to the Women's Intermediate Pistol course.
Women Intermediate Pistol
This module builds on the foundational skills outlined in the Women's Basic Pistol course, providing a detailed and visual explanation of the practical differences, the pros, and the cons of semi-automatics and revolvers. We also cover how these firearms can malfunction (and the procedures for correcting those malfunctions). You will be introduced to practical holster options by DTACS for concealed carry and what every woman (and man) should know about establishing boundaries using the "color codes of awareness." This comprehensive lesson is summarized with several on and off-the-range exercises, ensuring you are well-prepared and reassured to put these intermediate skills into practice in real-life situations.
Women Defensive Pistol
In the final module of the series, DTACS will introduce you to several advanced topics, skills, and drills. Topics include a detailed explanation of what you should know about avoiding, escaping, and defending yourself against an attacker and even what you should know about your obligations under the law regarding the legal right to use force. Several methods of drawing a firearm, including from a holster or a handbag, are explained and demonstrated. Three reload methods are shown, and you are introduced to what you should expect and know when visiting a live fire range for the first time, including several important range commands. This practical lesson also concluded with a few on- and off-the-range drills, including using cover and concealment and shooting on the move, ensuring you are ready and capable for any situation.
